What We Offer

Three areas of focused legal assistance

Each engagement is shaped around the client's own circumstances. We take the time to listen before we advise.

Spousal Pension Briefing

Spousal Pension Briefing

A respectful, two-person session for couples approaching retirement. We walk both spouses through Malaysian pension provisions, EPF accounts, and survivor benefits — treating the conversation as a partnership rather than a transaction.

  • Joint session for both partners
  • Written one-page summary included
  • EPF and survivor benefit review
  • Questions from either spouse welcomed
RM 360 Enquire
Civil Servant Pension Recalculation

Civil Servant Pension Recalculation

Patient legal work for retired Malaysian civil servants who believe their pension reflects an error in service period or salary figures. We gather records, communicate with JPA, and prepare a written review request where the records support one.

  • Service record review and analysis
  • Direct JPA communication handled
  • Client consulted before any escalation
  • Costs discussed openly throughout
RM 730 Enquire
End-of-Life Pension and Legacy File

End-of-Life Pension & Legacy File

A comprehensive engagement bringing pension records, will, EPF nominations, advance health-care preferences, and family memoranda into a single ordered legacy file. The work is unhurried and may pause and resume as the client's circumstances allow.

  • Complete legacy file preparation
  • Original held; duplicates to trusted family
  • Will and EPF nomination coordination
  • Work paced to client's own schedule
RM 985 Enquire

Why Clients Choose Us

The kind of firm that listens before it speaks

We have built our practice around one conviction: that older Malaysians deserve legal services shaped around them, not around the firm's convenience.

We pace ourselves to you

No rushing, no pressure to decide. Sessions proceed at whatever pace allows genuine understanding.

Plain language, always

Legal matters explained in clear, considered English — without jargon designed to confuse or impress.

Pension law as a specialism

We work exclusively in this area. Our understanding of Malaysian civil service pension rules and EPF provisions reflects sustained attention to a narrow field.

Family included when appropriate

Where a client wishes a trusted family member to be present, we welcome that — and structure the conversation accordingly.

Discretion as a foundation

Financial and health matters are shared in confidence. We treat every document and conversation with quiet respect.

Transparent about costs

Fees are discussed at the outset and revisited whenever the scope changes. There are no hidden charges.

Ready to Begin

A conversation costs nothing. Uncertainty can.

If you are unsure whether your pension records are correct, whether your spouse is adequately named in your EPF nomination, or simply where to begin — we are glad to listen. Contact us to arrange a time that suits you.

Common Questions

Questions we are often asked

Who is Sirih Adil's typical client?
Our clients are typically Malaysians aged 55 and above — retired civil servants, couples planning the transition to retirement together, and individuals who wish to bring their financial and health-related documents into order while they are still well enough to make considered decisions. We also assist adult children who are helping an elderly parent navigate pension matters.
How do I know whether my civil servant pension has been calculated correctly?
Common discrepancies arise from service-period gaps recorded during secondment, periods of unpaid leave that should not have reduced pensionable service, and salary-grade adjustments that were not reflected in the final pension calculation. If something in your pension letter does not match your own understanding of your career, it is worth discussing with us — even if you are uncertain where the issue lies.
What does a Spousal Pension Briefing involve in practice?
It is a two-person meeting — both spouses present — at our Kuala Lumpur office, or by arrangement if travelling is difficult. We work through the pension and EPF position of each spouse, explain the survivor benefit rules under Malaysian law, and invite questions from either party. At the end we provide a brief written summary of what was discussed and what, if anything, either spouse may wish to address further.
Can the Legacy File work be paused if my health changes?
Yes, without question. The End-of-Life Pension and Legacy File engagement is designed to flex around the client's own energy and circumstances. We hold whatever has been completed safely and resume when the client is ready. There is no penalty or additional charge for pausing, and we will never push the pace.
How long does a Civil Servant Pension Recalculation typically take?
Gathering and reviewing the service records usually takes two to four weeks depending on how readily the original documents can be located. Preparing and submitting the formal request for review to JPA adds another two to three weeks. JPA's own response timeframes vary, but we communicate with you throughout and explain what to expect at each stage.
Do I need to bring anything to the first meeting?
It helps to bring whatever you have to hand — your pension letter, any EPF statements, your MyKad, and if relevant, a copy of your current will or nomination forms. If you have nothing with you, that is entirely fine; the first conversation is about understanding your situation, and we can advise on what to locate afterwards.
